Panayiotis has been studying and teaching Martial Arts for many years, he has extensive knowledge in both Chinese and Japanese Martial Arts. He is the co-chief instructor with his Son, Nick Evagorou for Sanshou UK - Chinese Boxing Association.
He is also an instructor for Grandmaster Meng Kwong Loke's School of Chinese Martial Arts where he teaches the art of Tang Sou Dao.
Panayiotis started his Martial Art career at the early age of 13 when he first started Judo with Judo Coach Harry Harding in the late 60's. He was awarded 1st degree black belt by Matsutaro Otani Sensei at the age of 17.
He continued training and teaching Judo and self-defense for several years, reaching the status of Sensei, where he opened his own Judo school with his brother Joe, who is also a Sensei. They both continued at the time to study the Japanese Arts, of Karate, (Wado Ryu) and (Ryushinkan), Aikido (Usheba) and Jiu Jitsu (traditional)
In the mid seventies he studied Wu Shu Kwan a Northern style of Chinese Boxing founded by Grandmaster C K Chang.
Towards the end of the 90's he studied Wing Chun under Grandmaster Austin Goh in London, and Tai Chi with the Hine Tai Chi Schools in Croydon. He also trained in Tiger and Crane Kung Fu from 1999.
He qualified as a European Sanshou Judge after passing an examination in 2000 in Rotterdam, and has officiated as a judging official and Sanshou coach throughout the world; countries and cities included Holland, Portugal, Sweden, Moscow, Italy Beijing, Beijing Olympics, Poland, and Canada.
He was selected by the Governing Body for Chinese Martial Arts to attend and represent Great Britain at the Beijing Wushu Tournament 2008 at the Beijing Olympics 2008 as British Wushu Team Leader and British Sanshou Coach.
